Here’s a question for those whose young person will soon be striking out on their own:  why do banks charge a fee on “insufficient funds” when they know there is not enough?

What’s New?  These 3 books just arrived from That Patchwork Place that you may want to stop in to browse through:

We also have some military fabric in with more on the way.  Did I mention that we have a very nice group of Christmas fabrics?  It is really, really, really hard to think about Christmas in May but I know there are people out there who do, so I guess we’re ready for you………

Just because it’s spring, don’t forget about Cottage Quilt Club on Thursday, May 4th at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  We continue to enjoy an interesting and informative group of ladies who are willing to share current projects and ideas with the group.

Because of graduations and Quilt Market, Friday Night Club will be moved up one week to May 12th.

Have you had a chance to look at the Olfa revolving cutting mat?  It is so handy to have by the sewing machine to trim small pieces or blocks and not have to turn the block or walk around to the other side – just turn the revolving mat!

Here’s another thought about young people.  Or even not-young people.  Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized????  And more importantly, are we hungry when we look?

Until next week:

Cottage Quilt Club meets here at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. next Thursday, May 4th.  Just because the weather is nice now doesn’t mean that we won’t have some new things to show you……….for instance, we have some great fabrics for those who love fire trucks and fishermen and even the military.

Have I told you about the “Forget-me-not Vintage” line?  It features vintage fruits, dress forms and old postcards as well as coordinates.  These are in shades of light brown, tans, black & reds with a crackle-look finish.  There is also a group from Fig Tree Quilts called “A Day in the Country”.  This group is done in soft browns, tans, yellows and peaches.  Along with this line we also carry The Tin Box Sampler which is  35, 5” squares from this line that is packaged in a little tin box.  It includes directions to make a 17” x 17” quilt using these fabrics as well as a CD giving directions for a larger quilt and with recipes, etc.  Also in the Tin Box Sampler Series is “Northern Shores” – A Holly Taylor line.  This one contains 33, 5” square pieces to make a 12” x 12” quilt plus the CD.  At $20, these make great gifts for a Secret Pal or for Mother’s Day or even set it aside for next Christmas!!

Don’t forget to stop in for a demonstration of our featured notion of the month – the Flip ‘N Set ruler.  It saves you from doing a lot of math – what could beat that??

2 quick questions – why doesn’t glue stick to the bottle?  AND, why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
